Why chose a band for your event instead of Just hiring a DJ?

Here are some responses:

• You love live music
• A band will  help make your event one that people will remember.
• DJ's hurt the local music scene, and usually just 1 man, will waste your money,  earning $400.00 - $800.00 for less than five hours work. Thats up to $160.00 per hour. How much did that DJ make the other night?
• He uses that money to pay for gas, promotion and marketing, equipment upgrades and maintainence, liability insurance, new mp3s at  just pennies a piece, "Dj's rarely use CDs anymore, thanks to modern technology," and the rest of that substantial wage goes into his Swiss Bank account.
• Who wants to be a DJ.  I want to, I want to, me, me, where do I sign?

•  Bands use their hard earned $20.00 - $50.00 per hour per man to pay for gas, marketing and promoting, equipment upgrades and maintainence, liability insurance, union dues, electricity for those long nights of practice, and the rest of that mediocre wage goes into his change jug, saving it for that rainy day when the DJs take all the opportunities from the musicians.
• Without bands the DJs would have nothing to play.
• You love live music
